Robin's fundraiser for Greening Evergreen (Evergreen Care Trust)

Robin Morrison is raising money for Evergreen Care Trust

In my 81st year, I am doing 81 miles on my trike. · 15 June 2026

Since 2005, The Evergreen Care Trust has provided compassionate care, friendship, and practical support to older people in Stamford, Bourne, The Deepings and surrounding villages. Founded by nurse and social worker Louise Marsh, our charity fills the gaps left by stretched public services.

Story

It is my 81st birthday on 3rd of June and I was reminded by a friend that we are arriving at the stage in our lives, when we may need the support of others.

No matter how independent you have been,, there is an increasing probability that one may need help.

I have been a volunteer with Evergreen and this made me aware of how often help has to come from outside the circle of friends and family.

Stamford is very fortunate that it has the Evergreen Care Trust, which through its many voluntary services, steps in to provide help and support.

Evergreen with over 100 volunteers, needs an office building, which inevitably means overhead costs. Energy bills are on everyones' minds and are an unavoidable expense. By supporting the 'Greening Evergreen' project, you are enabling us to put solar panels on the office roof.

The reduction in energy bills will provide a lasting benefit and will enable Evergreen to put the savings towards its increasingly necessary charitable work.
