Story
Hello
I'm Robin and I'm 21 months clean and sober.
I am an ex resident of Bosence Farm rehab ( October 2024-January 2025)
I will on January 15th 2027, I will take on the challenge of running a 30km without stopping, and try to raise £1000 in the process for Bosence Farm rehab.
I am going to train up, as someone sober and in recovery and very much not fit or a runner, to a 30km run, from scratch, and document my journey from unfit and not a runner to running gradually up, and then take on the challenge on 15th January 2027 of running a 30km without stopping.
All the runs along my training journey will be tracked on Strava and shared on my page (launching soon)
I was a keen runner before addiction + alcoholism, and I also want to document the journey of getting it back again, one step at a time.
Bosence Farm helped me enormously, I would even say they saved my life.
On 15th January 2024, I very nearly lost my life after an overdose, and my time at Bosence I was supported every step of the way in processing this + the trauma of years of addiction + alcoholism.
They gave me constant support in how to turn my life around and break free from alcoholism and addiction.
I'm now 21 months clean and sober, and want to give back to the people who helped me get my life back.
The date (15th January) is a very challenging day (remembering what happened) and I want to do the 30km run on that date.
Please give what you can to the wonderful Bosence Farm rehab, who helped me to get clean and sober and get my life back, along with countless others.
