Story
I'm running the London Marathon in April 2025 to raise money for St Barnabas House Hospice in Worthing, a cause that means a lot to me.
This challenge is deeply personal. It’s in honour of my dad, who passed away from lung cancer in March 2023, and for my beautiful wife, Heather, who was diagnosed with bowel cancer in summer 2023. After surgery and chemotherapy she is now cancer-free. Heather also works at St Barnabas, so she sees first-hand the incredible care and support they provide to patients and their families during the most difficult times.
I returned to running in April 2024 to train for the Brighton Race for Life 10k in June, where I somehow managed to finish in the top ten and was honoured as the event’s Top Fundraiser, raising nearly £2,000. Since then, I’ve kept up my training, and I’m beyond excited to take on the London Marathon for St Barnabas.
This will be my first marathon in 15 years, and I’m aiming to complete it in under four hours. More importantly, I want to raise as much as possible to support the vital work St Barnabas does.
Any donation, big or small, would mean the world to me and help make a real difference. Thank you so much for your support!
