26.2 miles, two precious memories, one amazing charity
Running the London Marathon in Memory of Luna & Oscar
In April 2027, I’ll be taking on the TCS London Marathon for the first time, proudly raising money for Little Wings of Hope — a small, local charity that provides vital support to families affected by baby loss.
This charity is incredibly close to my heart. Sophie and I were introduced to Little Wings of Hope in September 2024, when our daughter, Luna Étoile, was born prematurely and lived for just 31 precious minutes.
Losing Luna was the darkest and most devastating experience of our lives. Little Wings of Hope supported us through those incredibly difficult days and helped us navigate pregnancy after loss.
The charity was founded by Leila and Barry following the loss of their son, Oscar, who was born at just 23 weeks and 1 day and lived for 10 precious hours. They have turned their own loss into a mission to support other families experiencing the same heartbreak.
So, in April, I’ll be running in memory of Luna and Oscar, and for every family affected by baby loss.
I’m incredibly honoured to have been given the charity’s sole place in the 2027 London Marathon, and I hope I can make Leila and Barry proud.
Any donation, no matter how big or small, would mean so much to me and will help Little Wings of Hope continue supporting families when they need it most.
Thank you for your support.
Rob
