Robyn's fundraiser for Project Trust

Robyn Boynton Lavelle is raising money for Project Trust
Project Trust is a Scottish-registered educational charity providing young people in the UK and Europe with international volunteering experiences. Project Trust Volunteers are based in projects in Africa, Asia or Latin America for 12 or 8 months supporting teaching or youth development work. Empowering global citizens Project Trust’s aim is to empower generations of young people to act as responsible and active global citizens. We support ethical, long-term volunteering experiences which enable the Volunteers to make a meaningful contribution to their host community whilst building knowledge, skills and cultural intelligence. Project Trust works with a small group of Volunteers each year, allowing the staff team to know each individual’s skills and interests. This allows us to place Volunteers in projects where they can get the most out of the experience and enables our staff to provide tailored support to each young person. Project Trust strives to be open to all young people with the desire, motivation and aptitude required to benefit from a long-term, ethical, volunteering placement

Story

My name is Robyn, and i have just finished my A levels, and I have been approved for a volunteer teaching placement in 2025 with the charity Project Trust - but I need to raise the necessary funds. I will be going to Malawi! Whilst on placement I will be teaching in local schools and involved in youth development work. I will be living, working and helping within these communities for up to a year. Placements are designed to meet community needs and never take work away from local people. The money I raise pays for the essentials such as flights, insurance and accommodation.

I would be extremely grateful if you could donate to my fund and help me achieve my goal. Volunteering opportunities such as this can change lives and possibly make the world a better place!

THANK YOU!!! Robyn :)

More about me:

I am currently 17 and finished studying A level Biology, Geography and Chemistry. I have already had a lot of experience working with children; I have helped in a child-minding setting for many years (my mother’s), and been a paid Drama Coach for juniors after initially volunteering with a local theater company, as well as regular babysitting for local families. All of which I find very rewarding, energizing and extremely gratifying. So, getting to go on incredible experience like this would be not only be an amazing leap in my personal development but I would hope a beneficial experience for my students and the surrounding community I can help and integrate with! It will also allow me to explore my independence and learn about new cultures and ways of life! I know I have a lot I can offer and would love the opportunity to positively impact the lives of others in such a special way.
