Story
In April 2026, I’ll be running the London Marathon to raise funds for Sudden Cardiac Arrest UK (SCA UK) — a charity that means a lot to my family.
Survivors of sudden cardiac arrest often face various health, psychological, and practical challenges. SCA UK offers comprehensive support to help survivors and their loved ones navigate their road to recovery.
After my dad suffered a sudden cardiac arrest in 2024, the charity helped him understand what had happened, and how his life would change. I am very proud of my dad and inspired by his recovery journey, including his return to running. He now helps others at his local Couch to 5k group, so it feels fitting to run for the cause!
SCA UK is a small charity run entirely by volunteers. It relies solely on donations and fundraising to continue to support survivors and co-survivors of sudden cardiac arrest. Any donation, big or small, will make a real difference.
I’m delighted to run in support of a charity that has helped my dad and so many others.
