I’m running for Barnardo’s because this cause lives close to my heart.

As a teacher and a former family support worker, I’ve walked alongside children who have experienced more than most adults ever will. I’ve seen the silent struggles in children and families just trying to stay afloat, and the incredible difference that kindness, support, and belief can make.

Barnardo’s steps in for children when the world feels too heavy. They offer safety, care, and the chance to rebuild. I’ve spent years trying to be that safe space in my own work but I know I’m one person. Barnardo’s makes that reach even greater.

I’m running for every child who’s ever felt forgotten. For every family who’s ever needed a helping hand. For hope, for healing, and for futures that can be brighter with the right support.

This run is more than a challenge. It’s a promise from me to keep showing up for the children who need us most.
