The greatest marathon in the world. For the last 85 years, Diabetes UK has been at the forefront of diabetes research. We've discovered how to put type 2 diabetes into remission and were working day in, day out to find a cure.

Story

On Sunday 27th April 2025, I will be running the London Marathon for the 2nd time since being diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes.

I feel very fortunate to be able to take on this physical and mental challenge despite the everyday challenges of this autoimmune condition.

After ~20 weeks of trying to train and manage glucose levels to sustain prolonged/intense activity, I kindly ask for your help reaching my minimum target of £2,300 for Diabetes UK.

In the 4 years I have had T1D, which was triggered by my immune system’s faulty reaction to coronavirus, I have had access to great healthcare and some of the latest medical technology - all thanks to research to date. By funding further research, we can get closer to finding a cure and until then, develop devices and immunotherapies.

Thank you for your support!
