Story
On 12th September 2026, I’ll be jumping out of a plane, doing a skydive at 12,000ft... to raise money for West Kent Mind, a charity that means a great deal to me. I’ve set myself the challenge of raising £500 in just one month, and every bit of support truly matters.
Mental health is something I’ve struggled with, and I’ve seen people close to me face their own battles too. When you’ve been through those moments, you realise how important it is to have support that’s kind, accessible, and genuinely understanding. West Kent Mind provides exactly that for so many people in our community who might otherwise feel alone or unsure where to turn.
They offer creative wellbeing groups, social support, peer‑mentor training, low‑cost counselling, early intervention for young people, and training for workplaces and local organisations. They’re the kind of charity that quietly changes lives every single day.
Your donation genuinely makes a difference:
£15 could provide art materials for a wellbeing session — paints, sketchbooks, or craft supplies that help someone express what they can’t put into words.
£25 could subsidise a counselling session for someone who otherwise couldn’t afford support.
£80 could launch a peer‑mentor session in a new rural area, reaching people who might not have access to support.
£120 could fund a peer‑mentor training place, turning lived experience into something powerful that helps others.
£350 could transform a young person’s future by funding a full six‑week early intervention programme.
If you choose to donate, thank you — genuinely. You’re supporting a charity that helps people like me, people I care about, and so many others who just need someone in their corner.
