Story
On 9th May I will be undertaking the ROC Wales. This includes swimming a mile in the sea at Abersoch, cycling to Snowdon, running up and down Snowdon, cycling back to Abersoch and then, to add insult to injury, running 1k on the beach to finish.
After being unwell over the last few years this will be a major challenge and I have a lot of work to do in order to get fit enough to complete.
The reason I'm doing this is for the children at New Hope Children's Centre.
New Hope children's centre is based in Nairobi, Kenya. Starting in 2000, for the past 25 years it has become home to over 500 children. The centre is currently home to over 120 children.
These children haven't been fortunate enough to have the start to life that so many of us take for granted. New Hope allows them a chance to thrive and have a chance to build a life they deserve.
There are two focuses for this fundraiser. We are aiming to:
1. Provide every child at New Hope with new underwear
2. Ensure every girl is provided with sanitary towels to ensure they are able to attend school
These are things we might take for granted and every penny you donate will go directly to funding these items for the children at New Hope.
