Story
On 23rd September 2020, our beautiful daughter, February, was born sleeping. Losing her changed my world forever. Nothing can ever prepare you for that kind of heartbreak, and navigating life after such a loss felt impossible at times.
This charity, Abigail’s Footsteps, is very close to my heart. Shortly after losing February, I was referred to them and offered a number of funded counselling sessions to help me work through my grief. I decided to continue with counselling beyond the funded sessions, as it became such an important part of my healing journey. With the incredible support of my counsellor, Naomi, I was able to begin processing my grief and find hope again. Those sessions were truly life-changing, a safe space to talk, grieve, and start to rebuild.
I am forever grateful to Abigail’s Footsteps for being there when I needed it most, and for the work they continue to do for families like mine. The charity provides specialist baby loss counselling, funds bereavement training for healthcare professionals, and donates cold cots to hospitals across the UK, giving families precious time to say goodbye to their babies.
This year, I’m taking on a 29km Ultra Challenge in honour of my daughter, February, and to raise funds for Abigail’s Footsteps. Every step I take will be for her, and for all the babies who were taken from us too soon.
Your support means so much, whether it’s through a donation, sharing this page, or simply keeping February’s name in your thoughts. Together, we can help Abigail’s Footsteps continue their incredible work and be there for other families facing the unimaginable. 💞
Thank you for your love and support.
For February, always. 🤍
