Story
12 Hours. 100's of Voices. One Life-Changing Cause. 🎶
On June 12th, 2026, the East Midlands Rock Choir is attempting something amazing!
From 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM, the music will not stop at Spondon Cricket Club, Derby. Led by Danny McCormack and our incredible team of choir leaders (Robyn, Lulu, Sarah, and Bev), hundreds of Rockies will take part in a continuous, 12-hour sponsored SINGATHON.
Our mission? To turn our voices into vital funds for Rainbows Hospice for Children.
Why are we singing?
Rainbows is a sanctuary for life-limited and terminally ill children across the East Midlands. They provide a safe, friendly environment where children can live and die with dignity, surrounded by their families and pets—whether at the hospice or in the comfort of their own homes.
The task of providing this level of care is staggering—it costs over £25 million per year to keep Rainbows running. While our fundraising might seem like a drop in the ocean compared to that total, we are determined to make a wave.
Why your donation matters
Traveling, singing for hours, and finding sponsors is a challenge for us, but it is nothing in comparison to what the families of these precious children go through every single day. We are singing for the children for whom the hospice is home.
Please, help us reach our £5,000 target. Every pound you donate goes directly to Rainbows to ensure that no family has to face the unthinkable alone.
£10 could pay for art supplies for a child’s "Memory Box."
£25 could pay for a vital Music Therapy session.
£50 could pay for an hour of specialist nursing care.
Thank you for supporting us. Let’s make every note count.
