Prostate Cancer UK has a simple ambition - to stop men dying from prostate cancer. Through shifting the science over the next 10 years to focus on radical improvements in diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and support, we will stop prostate cancer being a killer.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My name is Narelle Hill and I'm a Rock Choir Leader for choirs in Bradford, Halifax, Huddersfield and Dewsbury. In December 2023 my Dad was diagnosed with prostate cancer and he is also a member of the Halifax Rock Choir so I wanted to raise money for prostate cancer UK.

I've challenged myself and my choirs to a 'Rockie' Road Summer where we need to log at least 400 miles (644 Kilometres) walking or running from July 20th to September 11th to cover the distance from West Yorkshire to Rock Choir HQ in Farnham and back again!

This will then lead to a Rockie Road 'GRAND FINALE' on Saturday 26th September where I will actually run/walk between all of my 4 choir venues - a total of approximately 42km (roughly a marathon!). I'll start at Dewsbury, then go to Huddersfield, Sowerby Bridge/Halifax and finish in Bradford - aiming to complete in less than 12 hours. Some Rock Choir members may join me for some of it and lots will greet me at the end to sing Queen's 'Dont Stop Me Now' when I reach my final venue - where I plan on conducting a few songs!
