Debbie has been my partner for 41 years now, is mother to our two wonderful daughters, and is a dear friend to many. For three years now she has been receiving caring, compassionate and 'always-there' treatment and support from the Clatterbridge Cancer service. And we both know this will continue to be the case for as long as Debbie needs it. This is one way in which I can help give something back. I have never abseiled and, although I love fell-walking, sidling-up to precipitous edges definitely makes me nervous. So stepping over one is going to be somewhat out of my comfort zone. Which is as it should be of course. Finally, I know there are many calls on our charitable giving and you may be supporting cancer charities for your own reasons and in other ways.
