Story

Muslim Hands and it's amazing volunteers are taking on the challenge of climbing Ben Nevis, the highest mountain in Scotland, the United Kingdom and the British Isles. The summit is 4,411 feet above sea level and is the highest land in any direction for 459 miles.

This project started off raising funds for Palestine only, however due to the most unfortunate incidents that took place in Morocco and Libya, we have decided to raise funds for all 3 locations.

Morocco-

On September 8, 2023, a catastrophic earthquake with a magnitude of 6.8 hit the Atlas Mountains, just south of Marrakesh. With a population of 840,000 people, Marrakesh has been the worst affected city. More than 2,800 people have died so far and 100,000 children affected by the earthquake. There is limited access to food, clean water and shelter and so this campaign will help provide the following

-Mattress and Rug £50

-Emergency Food Parcel £100

-Ten Thermal Blankets £300

-Family Tent £400

Libya has been engulfed in flood waters after a massive torrent of water swept through the Eastern regions of the country, including the cities of Benghazi, Sousse, Derna and Al-Marj. Currently, the port city of Derna has experienced the most devastation due to the collapse of two of their dams. 11,300 people have died so far and 34,000 have been displaced. 25 percent of Derna is underwater and so this campaign will help provide the following

-Emergency Food and Water £100

-Essential Medical Supplies £200

-Share in Medical Camp £1000

Palestine-

Families in Gaza already struggling because of the 15-year long blockade were further devastated by attacks in Ramadan 2021 and again in Ramadan 2022 and Ramadan 2023. Children in the region are bearing the brunt of the conflict, with as many as half of them dependent on humanitarian assistance and one in four in need of psychological support.

-Emergency food parcels

-Emergency medical care

-Repairs to homes damaged in the bombings

-Cash grants for the most vulnerable families
