Walk from John O'Groats to Lands End · 17 June 2025

The British Skin Foundation is the only charity in the UK dedicated to funding research into skin disease and skin cancer. We fund research to help the 8 million people in the UK who suffer with a skin condition, with the ultimate goal of finding cures and better treatments for every disease.

Story

Thank you for visiting our fundraising page.

This summer we will be embracing the challenge of walking from John o’ Groats to Land’s End - twice as far as we have ever walked before. We’re raising money for the British Skin Foundation because a third of all people suffer from some kind of significant skin condition such as skin cancer (including Sally and many of our outdoorsy friends) and psoriasis (Roger and other people we know). The British Skin Foundation is the only national charity that supports and funds research into all skin conditions whether life-threatening or debilitating and irritating – a worthy cause.

We expect to be ‘on the road’ for about four months walking between 1100 and 1200 miles and, such is the scale of the walk, it will probably be the last multi-month long distance walk we will do, so we feel strongly that we should see some good come from it apart from a feeling of self-achievement.

Many thanks for any contribution you are able to make,

Sally and Roger
