Story
Roger Obertelli was a huge supporter of local entertainment, and could often be seen tap dancing - or rather 'hoofing' - along to the music at public gatherings around the area. A regular at Morecambe Music Festival, Lancaster Music Festival, Morecambe Carnival and many venues across the district, he would often tell people: "I don't do tap, I'm a hoofer!"
Roger was very well known across the district and dozens of music venues, especially every Sunday at The Tap House until very recently when he received amazing end of life care from St John's Hospice, supported by his friends & family. He died at age 93 - RIP Roger 17.7.32 to 15.4.26
In tribute we're asking you to join us on Sunday 7th June, midday until late, at The Tap House for 'Roger's Rhythm Music Festival.' We'll be remembering Roger with every beat and raising vital cash for St John's Hospice. Suggested donation is £10 (or Pay What You Can). We set this page up for those who can't attend to donate on the day or for whoever wants to make a donation now.
Hoping to see as many of you as possible on 7th June as we all celebrate his life and remember Roger at The Tap House, 2 Gage St, Lancaster LA1 1UH🙏
