Roland Burton is raising money for White Lodge Centre
Story
Hello, and welcome to my JustGiving page. I am really proud to be supporting White Lodge, an amazing local charity full of dedicated, caring people who do an incredible job supporting people with disabilities and their families.
I first visited the White Lodge centre two years ago, and it was a humbling yet also uplifting experience. Every time I visit, I am always blown away by their impact. Seeing first-hand the difference they make - from very young children through to older adults - is incredibly powerful.
White Lodge offer essential services like physical therapy and educational support, as well as fun and recreational activities. Their work not only empowers the individuals, but also provides much-needed support and solidarity to their families.
So I am incredibly proud to be fundraising for this brilliant cause, and even more exciting that my journey will include running the London Marathon in April 2025. It will be six years since I last ran a marathon, and it doesn't get easier with age!
Hitting my fundraising goal would help White Lodge to continue making a tangible difference in the lives of these amazing children and their families. And every donation can do great things.
£5 – An arts and crafts resource pack which would provide hours of fun in our specialist children’s nursery.
£30 – A playworker to support a disabled child for half a day
£70 – A 30 minute 1:1 hydrotherapy session in our hydro pool
£80 – A 1:1 physiotherapy session for an adult with a long-term disability
£110 - A day trip for teenagers with disabilities
£250 – A ‘Little Stars’ coffee morning for 6 infants aged 0-2 with disabilities and their parents.
