Story
A bit about the Charity:
Each year Spina bifida Hydrocephalus (SBH) Scotland need to raise over £1 million to provide dedicated support services for children, young people and adults affected by these lifelong, complex conditions. With little statutory funding they rely almost solely on donations from amazing people like you!
Although classed as rare conditions, 1 in every 1000 pregnancies are affected and, in this country, SBH Scotland is the only charity with a remit to support every one affected.
SBH Scotland thank you for your support.
A bit about Rollos Law LLP and the staff taking part:
Rollos Law LLP are proud to have some of their staff taking part in raising funds for such a worthwhile cause. We have 5 members of staff taking part from across the Firm: Sarah, Tammy, Garry, Elaine and Lorna. This is what they each had to say: -
Sarah: I am one of the Family Solicitors in the Court Team. I have chosen to do the abseil in the hope to raise some funds for a very worthwhile cause. Previous charity escapades include cutting off a foot and a half of my hair for Little Princess Trust, as well as a mud run, and colour run, both for Visibility. Any donations are greatly appreciated!
Tammy: Hi, I’m Tammy and I work as an MA paralegal in the court team. I have chosen to do this abseil as I am keen to be a part of a great cause in raising money towards Spina Bifida Hydrocephalus. I hope both me and the team can raise both awareness and funds for the Charity. Previous charity work I have been involved with includes doing over 200 hours of volunteering as a peer mentor with Fairway Fife. Any donations are a massive help and greatly appreciated!
Garry: Hi, I am Garry and I am deal with the HMO Maintenance for Rollos and quite simply, I am never one to shy away from a challenge and what better cause to raise awareness for while doing it. Any and all donations very much appreciated and thank you in advance.
Elaine: Hi, I’m Elaine, one of the legal secretaries within Rollos. Raising money for charity is a great way of giving back and every little helps to raise awareness. I have previously raised funds for Cancer Research doing Pretty Mudder and also a 5K run. I have never done an abseil before and what better way to do one than for a great cause and charity to raise funds for Spina Bifida Hydrocephalus Scotland! We are trying to raise as much donations as possible and any donations are welcome and appreciated. xx
Lorna: Hi, I am a Residential Conveyancing Paralegal in our Conveyancing Team in Glenrothes. I like to step out of my comfort zone if/when I get the chance. In fact, truth be told, I am a bit of an adrenaline junkie. I have previously completed an 80ft freefall swing as well as a bungee jump whilst on my Honeymoon in New Zealand. I have raised funds for Cancer Research via the Race for Life and so when this opportunity came up to add an abseil to my belt, I thought why not! And what better cause to do it for. Thanks to all in advance for your donations.
