Rolls-Royce Graduate's fundraiser for Sage House

Huw Binfield is raising money for Dementia Support

Team: Team fundraising for Dementia Support

Rolls-Royce graduate charity hike · 14 December 2025

Founded in 2014, Dementia Support is a young, unique charity that provides complete dementia services in one community-based hub, known as Sage House. We provide support and information to anyone wanting to know more about how to live well with dementia, both pre and post diagnosis.

Story

To commemorate Phantom’s centenary year, on Sunday 14 December, our 2025 graduate cohort will each be completing a 25-mile hike from The Home of Rolls-Royce to Elmstead in the village of West Wittering, and back. Elmstead is a very special location in the Rolls-Royce story – not only was it Sir Henry Royce’s beloved home for the last 16 years of his life, but it was also the place where he worked on the original Phantom I, then known as the New Phantom.

The eight graduates will cover a combined total of 200 miles to honour both of our co-founders: 100 miles for Sir Henry Royce, and another 100 for Charles Rolls. This journey will honour Phantom across its eight generations, retracing the footsteps of Sir Henry Royce along the roads of West Sussex.

The hike will be raising money for our House Charity, Sage House.
