Roman took part in this year’s Transplant Games to raise money for the Evelina Hospital. Roman’s successful kidney transplant in 2021 has completely changed our lives as a family. We Evelina London VIPs, (very important people, patients and penguins) are a sports team, with a difference! Each one of our competitors has received a life saving kidney transplant and is cared for by the team at Evelina London Children's Charity.

We are heading to Sheffield in August 2026 to compete in the British Transplant Games, an annual multisport event for children and adult transplant recipients and are very excited!

Our time at the Games is very exciting, it's sport but it's far more than that...... Our VIPs will be patients for life as sadly a transplant is not a cure and so we feel the transplant games gives us the opportunity to celebrate life, celebrate our incredible patients, their brothers and sisters and families. We see it as support through sport!

This event does not come cheap and we are incredibly grateful for the long term support of our Evelina London Children's Charity, but we also want to support them.

We have three fundraising events planned

Saturday 27th June - Annual Sponsored Cycle from Evelina London Children's Hospital to Southampton Children's Hospital - just slightly over 100 miles!

Wednesday 5th August - Incredible cycle from Evelina London to Sheffield, more than 200 miles in one day. Consultant Dr Nick, Transplant recipient parent Sheldon and their family and friends Kyle, Glen, Major, Dwayne & Simeon - Wow!

Saturday 8th August - Organ Donor Run - our children and families will get colourful for Evelina London and thank organ donors in our fun run, through the streets of Sheffield City Centre.
