I'm attempting to raise £1000 for a Charity very close to my heart.

This week is OCD awareness week.

OCD is a disorder affected by many individuals. It is labelled as the 10th most disabling mental health disorder by WHO. (Worlds Health Organisation).

I am raising money for others who are reluctant to reach out for help, due to the stigma around OCD. So they can get the treatment they need to live a great and fulfilling life! OCD is more than you think!

A disorder which is devastating towards the victims and families. Never ending compulsions take over their lives. Endless washing hands until their hands are chipped and sore. Endless rumination until you avoid every aspect of life because OCD convincing you your a monster. Endless checking, reassurance seeking, avoidance, and misery!

This is such a tricky disability for anyone to go through. For years and years the disorder has the potential to rob your life. Many people suffer in silence, are house bound, try to work through the pain, and some unfortunately take their own lives. Their very own heads are their own enemies.

However, it's not all bad news..

With effective therapy and support, people with OCD can lead an amazing life they deserve and manage their disorder.

Let's get together and show that we are all strong and can overcome anything!
