Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my fundraising page for Migrants Rights Network.
The Rome Marathon is my eleventh marathon I'll be running in memory of Rachel Marie Brackstone who died in February 2021. Rachel was the mother of my children, and someone that was a huge part of my life.
I am attempting to run 38 x marathons in Rachel's memory. I chose this number as this was her age when she passed away. The first letter of the marathons that I have chosen to run spell out her name.
I still can't believe that she's gone, and I have spent a lot of time thinking about everything, questioning past choices and actions, and with the view that I should have done more to help.
I will always feel that way but I am channelling Rachel's memory into doing more now.
My focus is to raise money to help charities support everyone struggling.
The Migrants’ Rights Network is a UK charity that stands in solidarity with all migrants in their fights for rights and justice. They partner with individuals and organisations to challenge policy and legislation; build leadership and campaigning capacity in migrant communities; and raise awareness of migrants' rights.
