On 9th February 2025, I will literally “bare all” as I go the Full Monty alongside a top group of Ayrshire men at The Gaiety Theatre to raise smiles and funds for a fantastic local cause. The Ayrshire Hospice delivers exceptional care that enables local people to live well and die with dignity, so for a few seconds and for an amazing charity, I’m prepared to look a lot less dignified on The Gaiety stage!

Many of you will know that I am passionate about working at the Ayrshire Hospice and have spent almost eleven happy, challenging and rewarding years at this incredible local charity. During that time, I have had the joy of meeting the most inspirational supporters, patients and families – one of the many reasons why I love my job. The hospice cares for local people in its In-Patient Unit, at Living Well Hubs in the community, in people's homes, and also offers counselling for adults, children and young people #MakingTodayMatter.

It costs over £9 million per year to run all care and services, which are provided at no cost to the patient or their family, and the hospice is largely funded through voluntary donations, only made possible through the support of the community. The hospice is also in the midst of an ambitious redevelopment project, costing over £18 million, which will ensure the continued care of future generations of local families, like yours and mine. £16 million has been raised so far, thanks to the incredible support of communities across Ayrshire and Arran, however we need your support to raise the final £2 million.

Earlier in the year I held a cabaret event entitled A Night in the West End - thank you so much to everyone who generously supported and gave both your money and time.

I recognise that the current economic climate is difficult for everyone, but if you can, any gift that you are able to give will be sincerely and gratefully received. Rest assured, your money will make a lasting difference to local people.
