100 Miles for Handog Natin: Bamburgh Castle to Edinburgh Castle
On July 4, 2026, I will be taking on one of the biggest physical and mental challenges of my life – a 100-mile ultra marathon from Bamburgh Castle to Edinburgh Castle, organised by Rat Race.
Covering 100 miles on foot will test my endurance, determination, and resilience. There will undoubtedly be difficult moments along the way, but knowing that every mile helps support a cause that means so much to me will keep me moving forward.
I am fundraising for Handog Natin UK, a charity that is very close to my heart. Founded in Coventry in 2003 by nurses and other migrant workers, Handog Natin was created with a simple but powerful vision: to unite Filipinos in the UK while giving back to our fellow Filipinos in need.
As stated in their mission:
"Handog Natin (Tagalog/Filipino word meaning 'Our Gift') is an organization that envisions to create unity amongst Filipinos in UK as well as giving our share towards life improvement of our kababayans (countrymen) in the Philippines. We are a non-stock, non-profit organization aiming to provide medical, educational, social, moral and spiritual support to underprivileged Filipinos back home."
Through fundraising activities and the generosity of supporters, Handog Natin provides assistance to underprivileged communities in the Philippines, helping improve lives through medical, educational, social, moral, and spiritual support.
Every donation, no matter the size, will help make a difference. Your support will not only help me reach the finish line in Edinburgh but will also help Handog Natin continue its valuable work for those who need it most.
Thank you for supporting me, supporting Handog Natin, and helping us give back to our kababayans.
Please donate if you can, and share this page with your family, friends, and colleagues. Together, we can make every mile count.
Maraming salamat po (thank you very much)!
