Our Story
Bodø/Glimt take on Manchester United in a massive Europa League game on the 28th November at Old Trafford. An incredible 6,000 fans will be travelling from Nordland to cheer the team on. We want to mark this special occasion by leaving a lasting legacy to the people of Manchester. We have carefully selected a charity that does so much good for people in Manchester when they really need it. The story we share also has special significance for one of our community. We hope you will be able to support this worthy cause. In doing so we want people to remember the fantastic people of Bodø for not only the passion they have for their club but the care they leave behind for the people of Manchester, Vårres Måte
About the charity
Ronald McDonald House Charities UK provides free ‘home away from home’ accommodation to families with children having treatment in hospital. Our Houses offer much more than just a place to stay; they provide family activities, peer support, respite, and many other services. This means that families can be by their child’s bedside in a matter of moments, whilst maintaining a degree of normal life with reduced emotional and financial strain. We help over 6,000 families each year and now, more than ever, we need your support. Thank you.
How you can help?
The costs per night to accommodate a family are £35 or 491kr. Can you help a family by donating the cost of one nights stay?
