New year, new challenge! I’ll be pushing myself to new heights by abseiling 100m down the iconic Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth on 4 Oct to raise money for Princess Alice Hospice.

I’m doing this daring challenge in honour of my beloved mum, Doreen. She sadly passed away from cancer, but I will never forget the loving and wonderful hospice care she received.

As a nurse, she was selfless and one of life’s angels because she helped so many people. I also want to make a difference, and I know you will help this great cause.

When I’m screaming and terrified down the Spinnaker Tower, I know my mum will help me to push on and complete the challenge. He who dares wins!
