St. George's Roof and Tower Repairs
St. George's Church, Glascote "Roof and Tower Repairs" project
Thank you for visiting our JustGiving page.
As a church we don't usually ask the public for donations but, on this occasion due to urgency and local interest, we are making an exception.
We are raising funds by holding a Gift Day and applying for grants to boost funds for our "Roof and Tower Repairs".
This isn't just about fixing a roof; it's about preserving a piece of our community's history and ensuring that this beautiful space remains a safe haven for everyone. We believe in the importance of keeping our faith and heritage alive, and with your help, we can make it happen!
For almost 150 years our church has been a welcoming place for all to worship. We hold weekly Worship Services, provide Baptisms, Weddings & Funerals. Maybe you've attended one of these services yourself in recent years or in the past. We have run a very successful Preschool since 1992. Weekly, in term time, we run a busy Sunbeams Toddler group and host the 2nd Glascote Girl Guides meetings. We provide a free monthly Community Breakfast open to all. Our local schools attend special services we host for them each term.
Unfortunately though, with time and weathering our Church building is in need of repair at a cost of almost £70,000. The good news is that we are 70% there and we continue to pray to our generous God and are applying for more grants.
Donating through JustGiving is really easy, fast, and totally secure. Your details are safe with them - they won't sell your information or bombard you with unwanted emails. Once you donate, your money goes directly to St. George's Church, making it the most efficient way to contribute.
So, if you can spare a little something today, we would be incredibly grateful! Every bit helps us get closer to our goal and ensures that St. George's Church continues to stand tall for generations to come.
Please note: should we receive more than the full cost of the project then the extra funds will be ring-fenced for future maintenance, repairs and development of our church building.
