Story

Please can you help fire up our fundraising campaign? 🙏

A team of titans from Rookery South Energy Recovery Facility, near Stewartby, Bedford, are competing in this year's MK Dragon Boat Race to raise money for Keech Hospice Care.

Ten members of staff will take to the water to race against more than 40 teams at the 20th Milton Keynes Dragon Boat Festival, on 22nd July 2023, watched by thousands of spectators.

In doing so, we want to raise money for Keech Hospice Care, an incredible charity that has touched many of us.

Keech Hospice Care provides free, specialist care for adults in Luton and Bedfordshire, and children from Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Milton Keynes living with a life-limiting illness. You can read more about them here: https://www.keech.org.uk/

In the 18 months since Rookery South ERF began operations - converting the region's non-recyclable waste into electricity to help power homes and businesses - we've formed a fantastic team spirit and we're hoping that will carry us through this challenge.

But it's your support that will really carry us through. Please donate and help us raise funds for an incredible and important charity.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
