Bringing Art to Harefield Hospital
A fundraising campaign by Lindi Reynolds & Co in aid of the Royal Brompton & Harefield Hospitals Charity.
Royal Brompton & Harefield Hospital is a world leading centre for heart and lung transplant care.
Lindi Reynolds & Co has set aside a fund and their professional time to fully refurbish two very busy rooms within the hospital — the PALS Room, where families receive often extremely difficult life-changing news, and the Transplant Unit patient and relatives quiet room, where patients and loved ones can meet.
Together we are working in collaboration with the hospital’s dedicated Arts team — RB&HArts to enhance these spaces, to create rooms that comfort in the most difficult of times.
But we want to do more.
We are aiming to raise £5,000 to commission original artwork — nature-inspired, warm, and life-affirming — artworks that will offer a link to nature and to the outside world. Artworks that will inspire, engage and comfort.
Rebekah Ahmed, Head of Community Fundraising and Engagement:
We are so pleased that Lindi Reynolds & Co are so generously volunteering their time and resource to create a warm and comforting atmosphere at Harefield Hospital for both patients and their loved ones to enjoy. The Harefield Hospital site is so beautifully green, but it can be hard to appreciate that when you’re unable to go outside, so this is a lovely way to bring some of the calming effects of nature into the hospital for patients to enjoy.
Every penny you donate will go directly to providing the artwork for these rooms.
This campaign has the full support of Royal Brompton & Harefield Hospitals Charity, and is backed by a Harefield heart transplant survivor who knows, first-hand, the comfort that beauty can bring in the darkest of moments.
Please give what you can and thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
