Story

🌍 About the Roots to Wings Uganda Project— a life-changing initiative by God in Action

This ambitious project is focused on building an entire sustainable village to support 101 orphaned and vulnerable children — offering not just survival, but a future filled with dignity, independence, and love.

Here’s what your donations will help fund:

🌾 A self-sustaining chicken and poultry farm

To feed the community and generate ongoing income through local trade, creating jobs and financial security.

🏫 Education

So that every child can access education, empowering them with the knowledge and skills to shape their future.

🏠 Permanent housing

Safe, secure homes built with care, offering stability and belonging for children who have lost everything.

🔄 Where Your Donation Goes

All donations are securely managed through the Coco Foundation, who act as the official third-party charity partner. Funds are distributed directly to God in Action, ensuring transparency, accountability, and that every penny goes exactly where it’s needed — to transform the lives of children through the Roots to Wings Uganda Project.

On 6th August 2025, a team of passionate fundraisers will climb Mount Snowdon to kick off the very first fundraiser for the Roots to Wings Uganda Project — a life-changing initiative by God in Action that aims to bring long-term hope, safety, and opportunity to orphaned and vulnerable children in Uganda.

Joining the climb are Nalini and Chris, both of whom are taking on this challenge while living with health conditions such as arthritis, spinal compression, diabetes, and Parkinson’s disease. Their courage and dedication are nothing short of inspiring. It also happens to be Nalini’s 60th birthday, so there’ll be cake and celebrations at the summit!

The climb marks the first official fundraiser to support the project, held in conjunction with This Property Life, with team members including Sarah, Jodie, and Andy.

This isn’t just about building infrastructure — it’s about planting roots and giving wings to children who deserve the chance to thrive.
