On January 3rd Team Roper are going to be running a very muddy and hilly off road half marathon to raise money for Budleigh Salterton Cricket Club.

The club is going from strength to strength, and in 2026 we will be adding more teams across all demographics.

To help support this, and help to bring fresh ideas to the club, we would like to bring an overseas player to the Budleigh for the 2026 season.

An overseas player will have a huge impact on the club and the cricket we are able to provide to our community. From bolstering the senior teams, to coaching our ever growing women's section. This player will also help to inspire our junior section at Friday night coaching.

In total the club would like to raise £10,000 to make this happen.

I am not sure the 4 Roper's will be running at the same pace...but we plan to start together and celebrate at the finish line. It will be the first time Ollie and Alex have completed a half marathon, so very exciting.
