Rorie’s fundraiser for The Sick Children's Trust

Rorie Adams is raising money for The Sick Children's Trust

Running 11 Junior ParkRuns to achieve a combined distance of a ‘Half Marathon’

The Sick Children’s Trust is the charity that gives families with a seriously ill child in hospital a comfortable place to stay and a friendly ear to listen in one of our ten ‘Homes from Home’. By providing families with somewhere to stay near their child they have one less thing to worry about.

Story

Rorie took part in his first Junior Parkrun on the 3rd May with his school and has set himself an incredible challenge — to complete 11 Parkruns, which adds up to the distance of a half marathon!

This is an especially huge achievement because his journey hasn’t been easy. After spending time working hard through multiple therapies including physiotherapy, hydrotherapy and occupational therapy since birth, every step forward has taken determination, bravery, and resilience.

Now, Rorie wants to turn that determination into something positive by raising money for Magnolia House at The Sick Children’s Trust in Sheffield— a charity that helped keep our family together during some of our toughest times by providing welcoming “Homes from Home” near Rorie’s Ward.

Every Parkrun completed is a reminder of how far he’s come, and every donation will help support families who, like us, were so appreciative of the facility.

Please support Rors on this amazing journey if you can — every donation, no matter the size, will make a difference and mean the world to him. His younger sister Robyn will also be supporting him every step of the way.
