Thanks for visiting our page - we are volunteer pilots and supporters for this amazing voluntary organisation, Cycling Without Age- Musselburgh (CWASM) which is committed to offering free trishaw trips to our community.

On 6 September 2026 we will be taking on a 40mile cycle from The Kelpies to Levenhall Arms in Musselburgh to raise awareness and funds for this fabulous community organisation.

Any funds raised will be added to the pot to replace the two standard trishaws in the Musselburgh fleet.

Overall a huge £22,000 is needed to achieve this as CWA trishaws are expensive and have to be imported from Denmark. CWA Musselburgh are seeking fundraising opportunities; personally fundraising, writing grant applications and are grateful for generous public donations. We are at just over a 3rd of our target (at time of writing) which is amazing🎉

A trishaw ride can bring so much joy and pleasure to many people. Our passengers are from residential homes, community groups , organisations who support people with additional needs, assisted living units and members of the public. Bessie & Bertie are over 8 years old now and have clocked up over 11,000 km in trips around the scenic Musselburgh routes. Now their batteries are not holding the same charge and need more frequent costly repairs and the motor systems are now obsolete so we plan to upgrade to the latest model, ensuring better passenger comfort and ride experience along with an up-to -date motor and battery system . New trishaws will allow us to contiue to offer free trips for many years to come and continue tthe joy and pleasure that Cycling Without Age Musselburgh brings to so many❤️🖤❤️
