Story
This year I have been 'lucky' enough to get a place in the public ballot to run the London Marathon. As a male entry the odds of success in the ballot were somewhere between 2-5% so I was very surprised (and a bit daunted) when my place was confirmed.
The good news is that this gives me an excellent chance to raise some funds for a small worthwhile charity that does not have access to charity places which are dominated by the larger better funded national charities.
As such I am thrilled to be running in aid of Chrysalis Club Tynedale (https://www.chrysalisclub.org.uk/) who do amazing work in Northumberland supporting those who are living with dementia. Their website details some of the fantastic initiatives the charity runs and any funds raised will go a long way! This particular cause is very close to my heart as my late grandmother suffered with dementia for many years, whilst my mother Fo is a regular volunteer at the charity.
Thank you for your support and it will help drive me towards the finish line on 26th April!
Rory
