Story
This August I'm driving from Glasgow to Monaco and back. Over 3,000 miles across 12 days, through 10 countries, over the Alps and along the Cote d'Azur, with a lap of the Monaco F1 circuit then the official finish line in Nice. Then all the way home again.
If you don't know my mum is Cor, an amputee and the founder of Finding Your Feet. I'll be along side her every step of the way (except this time it's bums on car seats). We'll also be joined by Indie and his mum Evie which will make this challenge even more exciting!
I'm a trainee mechanic and I'll be keeping the convoy alive with gaffer tape and WD40. I think they are, genuinely, going to need me. I'll be sharing the car with Indie, who'll no doubt keep the miles flying by with some entertaining music selections.
I've personally covered all of the costs associated with the challenge, meaning every donation raised will go directly to Finding Your Feet.
Today FYF is Scotland's only nationwide charity supporting amputees, those born without limbs, and their families. It offers peer support, counselling, well-being services and inclusive clubs and activities.
Every penny you donate goes directly into Finding Your Feet's work across Scotland Community for people who feel alone. Someone who truly understands, because they've been there too.
No matter how tough the road, there is always a way forward.
Please donate if you can. And follow along this August because I promise you it's going to be an adventure.
