Story
Thank you for visiting my JustGiving page supporting the MND Association.
On Sunday 21st September 2025, I’ll be taking on one of the toughest endurance events in the world – Ironman Wales – to raise funds and awareness for the Motor Neurone Disease Association, in honour of my amazing mum, Kathryn.
My mum has been battling Motor Neurone Disease (MND) for a number of years. Watching her face this cruel and relentless illness with courage and strength has been one of the most painful, yet inspiring experiences of my life. MND affects not only those diagnosed, but family and friends who witness the daily challenges and gradual loss of ability, knowing there is currently no cure. The photo below is my last memory of my mum able to walk in 2018, that was 7 years ago and sadly now mum has lost all mobility including the use of her arms and hands.
In 2024 I reached out to founder of MND24.com - Sandy Stirling, who has built a movement around the world to complete incredible challenges to raise awareness for MND. This inspired me to honour my mum’s bravery – and to stand in solidarity with everyone affected by this disease – I’ll be swimming 3.8km, cycling 180km, and running a full marathon. This challenge is nothing compared to what those living with MND endure every day, but it’s my way of fighting back.
The MND Association does incredible work supporting people with the disease and their families, funding essential research, and pushing for better care and awareness. Every pound raised will go directly to supporting these efforts.

This isn’t just about my mum – it’s about every individual and family facing this devastating illness. By donating, you’re helping to bring hope, improve lives, and move us closer to a future where MND no longer takes so much.
Thank you so much for visiting my page. If you can, please donate and share. Your support means the world – to me, to my mum, and everyone affected by MND.
Together, we can make a difference.
