In May 2026, I will be running the Edinburgh Half Marathon along with my friend Harris. June this year will mark the 10th anniversary of the loss of my Papa William Begley from pancreatic cancer. I am motivated to do this run in memory and honour of him and other people impacted by this devastating disease. My papa died just 14 weeks after his diagnosis, he wanted others to get a fairer chance to fight pancreatic cancer and through raising awareness and funds I hope to take some steps to help achieve this.
