Story
In December 2025, I lost my grandad to mesothelioma.
He was my hero throughout my life, and as I got older he became one of my best friends.
Before he was diagnosed, I’d never even heard of the disease. Like many families affected by mesothelioma, we were suddenly faced with a devastating illness that changed our lives.
To honour his memory and raise awareness, I’ll be walking the entire Suffolk and Norfolk coastline carrying everything I need on my back and camping along the way.
Over 10 days, I’ll cover approximately 250km from my hometown of Felixstowe to Hunstanton.
Every donation will help support people affected by mesothelioma and increase awareness of this disease.
Thank you for supporting this challenge
And Grandad you were a bloody legend who made us laugh so much, I miss the little things like the slap on your leg after you cracked up laughing or calling you up after a football match and telling you how it all went.
I hope I make you proud. Miss you lots

Mesothelioma UK is the national charity for anyone affected by mesothelioma, a preventable cancer caused by exposure to asbestos. They exist to support people with mesothelioma to live better and live longer and to prevent mesothelioma happening to future generations. They do this by advocating for better treatment and care, enhancing quality of life, supporting research and amplifying the patient’s voice.
