We are raising money in memory of our beautiful son Rory, who was born prematurely alongside his identical twin brother Rohan at 31 weeks and 6 days. During our pregnancy, we were told that Rory had a critical heart condition called aortic stenosis. We were given the devastating news that his heart was too badly damaged and that there was no operation that could save him. Rory was born on 12th May, and after just one precious day with him, he sadly passed away on 13th May. Nothing can prepare you for the heartbreak of losing your baby, especially while also trying to care for his twin brother.

During the hardest days of our lives, the Honeysuckle team at Liverpool Women’s Hospital supported us and our family through the loss of Rory. They provide invaluable care and support to families who have experienced the loss of a baby, helping them through a time that no family should ever have to face.

We are holding a charity football match in Rory’s memory to raise money for Honeysuckle, so that they can continue supporting other families going through the unimaginable pain of losing their baby. Every donation, no matter how small, means so much to us and will help ensure that families receive the compassion, kindness and support that we were given when we needed it most.
