Music for my Mind came to visit Mum in the care home and we spent over an hour listening to songs from the 60’s and 70’s together to see which made Mum happy, and sing along too!

Mum had the best time and it was lovely to be able to experience it with her. Lucy and her colleague were really patient with Mum and couldn’t have been nicer.

Once Lucy had recorded Mums reactions they made her own unique playlist and provided an Alexa for her room so that she could listen to her favourite songs every day.

We would like to raise money in memory of Mum and for this brilliant charity so that they can help as many people with dementia as possible.

Music for my Mind (registered charity number 1167246) was founded with the aim to improve the well-being of people living with memory loss and dementia, their family, friends and care-providers, by creating and making personalised music widely available, as an affordable social prescribing tool in dementia. We want to use research and technology to bring music to all families affected by dementia.
