In 2019 I found myself pregnant with twins, I knew from the beginning of my pregnancy that something wasn't right as I was bleeding almost every day sometimes a little, sometimes a lot!

I was also unfortunately in an abusive relationship at the time and was not allowed by my partner to inform my family about any of what was happening including the pregnancy.

I then unfortunately lost my babies at roughly the 12/13 week mark. I may not have been far along in my pregnancy but the pain and the heart break I felt over my loss was and still is immeasurable! At the time I still was unable to talk to anyone about my loss and I also had never heard of Sands!

It wasn't until 2 years later, when I was long out of the abusive relationship and my family had since long found out, that I heard of and discovered Sands as a charity, simply through their posts of stories and they very quickly became very important to me! That year and every years since I have joined the wave of light, lighting a candle in memory of my lost angels!

I feel so incredibly lucky that I can take part in this event and raise money to continue their vital work!

If I can raise even just a little amount for such an incredible cause I will be over the moon!
