❄️ I'm taking part in the National Literacy Trust's 2026 Arctic Challenge this coming January! ❄️

As part of this 4-day endurance event, I'll be in the Arctic circle:

– trying not to fall off during a 35km dog sled 🐺🛷

– fishing through a hole in the Arctic ice 🎣🕳️

– attempting to light a fire in the snow 🔥❄️

– hiking 20km across the snow and ice 🥶 😱

All to raise money to support the NLT in developing the literacy skills in children from disadvantaged backgrounds, a cause close to my heart.

On average, children from the poorest backgrounds start school 19 months behind their more privileged peers. No child should have their potential cut short before their lives have really begun – we all deserve access to the world literacy can open up to us.

Children who start school without the expected level of literacy skills are held back at every stage of their lives, whether in employment or in mental health.

I know times are tough right now, and there are many deserving causes out there, but I would be extremely grateful for anything you can spare towards supporting the NLT.
