On the 11th May I'm taking on a challenge completely out of my comfort zone - "The Drop".

I'm going to be blindfolded, put on a bus and taken to an unknown location 10 miles from the base. I will then be dropped with no tech, no map, no watch and no idea where I'm going... Will I make it back to the HQ before the timer runs out??

I'd like to think my internal sense of direction is good, but there is every possibility that I will go in the complete wrong direction and get lost! All participants wear a tracker, so we will be saved if the time runs out. We are not allowed to get a lift anywhere (the tracker will know) and we are being dropped in North Yorkshire, so the area isn't familiar.

I'm doing this in the name of charity, Hull & East Yorkshire (HEY) Children's University. Many children around Hull and the East Riding do not have the same opportunities that other children in the U.K have. Many have never been much further than the street in which they live, and some will never visit another city until they reach adulthood. HEY Children's University works to change that, inspiring our region's future to achieve great things, no matter what that dream may be and regardless of what circumstances they were born in to.
