Dementia UK is the specialist dementia nurse charity. Our nurses, called Admiral Nurses – who we continually support and develop – provide life-changing care for families affected by all forms of dementia, including Alzheimer’s disease.

Story

In June this year I'll be taking on my biggest personal fitness challenge to date, a 100km hike through the beautifully scenic (hopefully the rain won't obscure the view!) Lake District.

Over 2 consecutive days I'll be plodding up hill and down dale on my mission to get to the finish line. Having completed 2 x 50km Ultra hikes in recent years, and having felt thoroughly broken by the end, this latest challenge is going to push me to my limits and I'm incredibly excited to take it on!

I've decided to mark this epic adventure challenge by fundraising for a wonderful charity close to my heart, Dementia UK, who help provide support and care to people with Dementia and their loved ones.

I'll keep the site updated with training tales and pictures so you can share in this experience. And in the meantime, please donate if you can, to help make sure no-one has to face Dementia alone.

Thank you!
