Story

The Big Worcester Sleep Out will return Friday 13th October 2023 to raise money for St Pauls Hostel, Worcester Warriors Foundation, and Maggs Day Centre. For the first time, the sleep out will take place at Worcestershire County Cricket Club.

The causes

We are aiming to raise £25,000 for 2023 with all of the funds raised being split equally between St Pauls Hostel, Warriors Community Foundation, and Maggs Day Centre.

Our Mission

Our mission is to raise awareness of the complex issues surrounding homelessness within our county, and the services our charities relentlessly push forward. We started our event to help change perceptions, as well changing lives. Whilst we always seek to create empathy through education, we do not seek to recreate the experience of being homeless.

My Story:- I have been lucky in life to always have a home a place to live, eat, sleep, entertain my family and friends, feel safe, comfortable and happy. I can't begin to imagine what it must be like not to have a home, no safe place to be, no creature comforts, no place to call your own.

I volunteer with Maggs because they support homeless people trying to make their lives better and find them a place to live. I feel really it is the least I can do support their efforts in supporting the homeless.
