Story
We are a group of clinicians from Lancashire Teaching Hospitals are completing a 140 mile sponsored cycle on Sep 16/17 in aid of the Rosemere Cancer Foundation, but also to increase awareness of Prehabilitation (Prehab) in cancer treatment. This is something very close to our heart as we are all involved in treating cancer patients in various ways.
Prehab is a key aspect of patient cancer management, focussing on exercise, nutrition and mental wellbeing, with many proven benefits. The Community Organisations of the 8 Football Clubs in the region have been incredibly supportive in offering prehab free of charge to local cancer patients.
We will be cycling between the 8 football clubs in the regions, from Barrow in the north to Burnley in the east, to raise awareness of prehab and the facilities available. This is a journey of over 140 miles over 2 days, visiting every club in turn
Any donations you give will be incredibly welcome and please spread the word.

Approximately 70,000 people in Lancashire and South Cumbria are currently living with cancer.
The money that Rosemere Cancer Foundation raises, with the help of people like you, supports pioneering, local clinical research projects; cutting-edge equipment; specialist training; and innovative, life-changing welfare projects for the benefit of these patients wherever they are cared for across the region, now and in the future.
