Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I'm a volunteer at St Augustine's in the 'free shop' which provides clothes and other donated items for people seeking asylum. The Centre has over a thousand members from 76 different countries. We always need funds to buy new items for the people we support - from underwear to toiletries.

Steve and I have completed this 28 mile (day) walk twice. The second time in 2023 we were joined by five other volunteers from St Augustine's' all of whom are applying for or have asylum in the UK. Some will join us again this year.

We are a specialist charity working with people seeking asylum, and new refugees, who are rebuilding their lives in Calderdale. We give people the practical support they need to rebuild their lives with dignity, and we offer activities that help people feel happier and more connected.
