Story

That’s the 7 marathons done🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳

It’s been an incredible journey with my only hope was to raise awareness and money to fight bowel cancer which I hope together, we have achieved 🙏🏾

Thanks to everyone so much for your love and support and donations. It’s been unbelievable 🥲

Let’s fight cancer together!!

As a health professional , I have seen the devastating effects of bowel cancer on patients and their families and on a personal note , on my friend and colleague David Laidlaw and a friends father. That's why I am running 7 marathons in 7 days from May 6th with the Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon 2024 as the last one of that week, to raise awareness and funds for Bowel Cancer UK, the leading charity dedicated to stopping people from dying of this disease.

Since 1st January 2024 my training has covered over 1000 miles of running in all weather conditions, but if we can make a difference, it’ll be worth every stride.

Bowel cancer is a silent killer that often goes undetected until it's too late. That's why it's crucial for everyone to take advantage of the free tests sent to them when they reach 50 years old. By supporting Bowel Cancer UK, we can fund targeted research, provide expert information and support to patients and their families, educate the public and professionals about the disease, and campaign for early diagnosis and access to best treatment and care.

My goal was to raise £2,500 for this important cause. We are almost at a total of £7000. With your help, we can make a difference in the fight against bowel cancer.
