Story
This May, two best friends and fellow mums, Rosie and Laura, are lacing up their trainers for the Leeds Half Marathon—not just for the miles, but for a cause incredibly close to their hearts.
Laura is making the journey from London to take on the notorious Yorkshire hills, while Rosie will be powered forward by the most important cheerleader of all: her six-year-old non-verbal child with autism, who will be there to witness every stride.
Together, they’re running to raise vital funds for Unique Ways, a charity based in Rosie’s town that provides a lifeline for families with children who have additional needs. When the path feels uncertain and unmarked, Unique Ways walks alongside parents, offering guidance, community, and unwavering support through the toughest moments.
For Rosie’s family, Unique Ways has been more than just a charity—they’ve been a steady presence through years of challenges and triumphs, helping to navigate a journey that can often feel isolating. This run is a way to give back to an organization that has given so much.
We’re deeply grateful to Unique Ways for the difference they’ve made in our lives. And we’re equally grateful to Laura for stepping up to share in this commitment—proving that friendship, determination, and purpose can carry you through 13.1 miles and so much more.
Every donation brings hope to families walking their own untrodden paths.
